My New X-wing GF9 Frozen Planet Gaming Mat Product Review.

We played my first game last night with our new GF9 mat, I must admit it really does make a difference, and my youngest son couldn't resist playing with his Lego Star Wars on it, at the end of the night. At £30 it's not exactly cheap but, I do think it add's alot more to the game. Also a quick search on the Internet and you can easily find other companies are doing similar mat's, so there is lots of alternatives online to see. I have to ask myself the question, would I recommend this one? It certainly ticks all the boxes, it's not exactly cheap as stated above, but it's made of good quality vinyl, the colour is very bright, it's, wet erasable, durable, and in full color. So all in all I would highly recommend it.

You can easily tell that he means business.

His Lego is somewhat out of scale but who cares.

Marvel legendary, let's get 2014 off to a flying start.

I might as well start by saying this is my first post of the new year, and of course wish you all good and a positive gaming 2014. Recently I've been playing a lot of legendary, and I decided to purchase some hobby supplies and sleeving 550 cards isn't exactly fun, but definitely worth while. Plus I know it's rather expensive but I think it's worth it in the long run. I'm also thinking about at some stage picking up the 2 expansions that are already available for the game, as hopefully it will give it a little bit more depth as it is a little bit easy, at time's although whilst playing with my youngest son this isn't exactly a problem, as he can get a little bit upset if he loses.

So Job done and I must admit it really does make all the difference in regards to shuffling the cards as well as making it easier to organise them.

A little look at what Santa delivered, this Christmas 2013.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be posting up some more pics in regards to what I got over Christmas, but in the meantime I thought I would share with everyone what Santa delivered. This year it was a little bit different, because I wanted to incorporate games that I could play with my family. So that's when legendary comes in, as both my young sons are superhero mad, plus it's a living card game which hopefully makes all the difference, in regards to it's cost, as it will work out a little bit more cheaper in the near future. On the back of that the Star Wars card game was also a new addition to my collection, but overall I am concerned that it might be a little bit more complicated than legendary. And finally not forgetting X-Wing, it certainly needs no introduction and the new additions will certainly come in handy on the table top.

Xmas Space Hulk.

Today I managed to play a couple more missions of space hulk, and overall I am pleased with the game on the PC. It's not perfect but it's as close to perfection as I think you can get for £7.00. When it was recently on sale. Also it is not exactly easy and it is quite challenging at times.

All of which are definitely getting me in the mood to finish off my miniatures for the game, hopefully over the next couple of days I will post up some pics.

Plus I'm going to get my friend AJ involved in the game as we've never actually played, with his Imperial guard in the hulk, as I think it would be rather cool for the first time, seeing them fight in the claustrophobic corridors rather than the open battlefield with a new enemy at my disposal.

A early Xmas present, from my best mate AJ from Kromlech.

To my surprise this came as a bit of a shock, when I finally got the chance to meet up with my best mate AJ, before Xmas and I think you'll all agree they all do look rather awesome. It's the first time that I have seen Kromlech stuff up close, and I must admit the quality is outstanding. I would highly recommend everyone to go ahead and check them out. The plan is very simple as these will fit quite nicely with my new ork blood axes looded wagons, as I'm going to paint them in a World War II color scheme.

I must say a big thank you AJ, it really was a bit of a surprise, and will definitely return the favour. I think it's about time that I finally started to get my blood axe boys up and running and finished to go on the tabletop.

Texturing Man O War bases to look like the sea.

It is certainly no easy challenge, but I recently came across all-purpose wall filler, and thought it might come in very handy. From the start it's a very simple process by adding a little water and applying to your miniature base to represent the sea. Also in the last picture I have done a little prototype work in regards to my ship sails, in time all will be revealed.
