Thank You All For 50.000 Total Pageviews

So today has been a rather special day, that I have reached over 50,000 page hits, which is absolutely fantastic. So as always a big thank you to everyone that has enjoyed my blog for over two years now.

When I first started I was quite intimidated,  and it took me a while, alot was trial and error on my part, but it just goes to show that it's very easy to get your own blog up and running, I feel that blogs have a place to archive your hobby and that is the reason why I do mine.

There's nothing better at looking back at previous projects. In fact it's the best form of motivation. The community is very small and in my opinion some of the best hobby content available is with blogs, handsdown no competition.

So something to celebrate and be proud of, so once again a big thank you and here's to
the next 50,000 Total Pageviews.

Thank You As My Blog Hits The BIG 150 Members Mark

So today was the day that I woke up, and found that my blog had hit the 150 member Mark. And I must admit it hasn't exactly came quickly or easily. I think that's the problem with blogs that you really need to do them for the right reasons and seeking out fame and fortune definitely isn't the way to go, well for a blog anyway.

But in saying that it is quite an achievement and overall I'm very pleased so once again I would like to thank everyone that has joined recently it really does make all the difference.

So what's life like at 150?

Well my blog as you've probably noticed has taken a real step back in regards to my hobby life, for a number of reasons, as I've been more involved with organising the N.D.G.H locally, and, I now find I have not had the hobby time to dedicate to my first love.

So what does the future hold, well in fact my blog isn't going anywhere, in fact it's is the complete opposite. As I'm already thinking about maybe doing my own website, which I think is probably the next step for me. I'm not saying that blogs are not the way to go, I just think that with the emergence of the likes of Facebook etc it's a small painful process trying to get them up and running, although enjoyable nonetheless. And it is great looking back at you old projects and articles, you have completed.

So the journey continues and hopefully you'll stay for the ride until them once again a big thank you.

Thank You As My Blog Hits The BIG 50 Members Mark

So Why Is It So Important?

Today is the day that my blog hits the 50 members Mark, and I must admit it hasn't been an easy achievement, considering my blog in February is only going to be one year old, which makes me wonder why is it so important, well from the start it wasn't, but as time has passed is nice to know that you do have certain followers that seem to enjoy what you're actually doing.

All too often people's bloggs take over there hobby and in some way blogging regularly can actually take away your hobby time if you let it, and after all that's not the reason why we blog. It's also great for me to reminisce and look back at the projects that I have done over the last few months, also I'm finding that I am already accumulating future posts with the projects that I am working on at the minute, which means I have an endless supply of material, which can only be a good thing, trying to think a little bit in advance.

Hopefully in the future I'm going to update my blogger template that I'm currently using that will be a little bit more user-friendly as I am finding that as time passes the content that I have accumulated sometimes is being missed, so hopefully that might help, make people check out more pages within my blog.

So what I hope to achieve within the next 50 members

1.Well a new blogger template for my site as stated above

2. I'm also thinking about setting up a blog hub to showcasing all the local blogs in Ireland and beyond.

3. Get more people blogging locally

For me this is the biggest challenge as I constantly see people posting endlessly on forums, and they don't seem to take the next step into blogging, which I must admit I was one of them. So where do I start well hopefully the first 2 might help, so on the whole it's been a long journey to get where I am today, but I think I'm getting there.

So once again a big thank you and a big welcome to the next 50.

Thank You All For 3349 Pageviews Last Month, So What Makes My Blog Different!

I just thought I would take the time to thank everyone for the amount of page views last month, as I was taken back by surprise when I checked. It seems that people do blogs for different reasons, mine set out at the start to be an extension of my hobby, a way to showcase what I was currently doing and have already done, but it seems this turned out to be much more than that, from all the comments that I receive and requests for more updates it really has taken on a life of its own.

Well there's plenty of people blogging online that seemed to write endless text about codexes tactics etc, and while that seems all very well, I want my blog to be more hobby related, as well as being able to look back on the projects that I have done recently, I wasn't expecting anyone to read or see any of that, but that has been the biggest surprise because, more importantly it's turned out to be a tool for gamers to stumble across which in turn might give some help or inspiration in my own little way to the gaming community.

October  page views onward and upward
I suppose my blog is what I would like to see on the Internet, so if I make it in that image I know it will only go from strength to strength, and the bonus is, that you guys seem to read and enjoy it. Which makes it all worthwhile, knowing it inspires someone somewhere to do something a little bit different than everyone else.

I have still plenty of ideas and things that I want to show and share, but your support is definitely the biggest motivation for me to continue.

So once again a big Thank you.
