More Progress Of My Converted Nob Bikers.

So with no opponent to play tonight with my local gaming group it give me a little bit more time to spend on these Nob's, so it's time for another update

It's the first time these guys have been together and they are looking quite menacing.

So now the boss has something to command .

I've never had a reputation of being tidy :) but as you can see below it looks very neat.

So all being well I'll finally get round to putting on some paint on these guys so until then.

My FORGE WORLD Dakkajet Part 2 How To Make It's Own Flyer Stand

So following on from my previous post, in this one I'm going to update yourselves in regards to progress, that I am making in regards to it's stand.

Of course like everyone I could just simply go out and buy one from GW, but as always the cheapest option for me was to do it myself. I already made a stand some years ago, but the GW one look's so much better and slightly smaller I thought it was about time that I would do my own. So to start things off it was quite simple just simply drill a hole and have some cylinder plastic card available. Just make sure you angle it when sticking it down, after all you want to make it look like it's flying through the air.

You can pick up these see-through cylinder stands at any local craft shop for next to nothing.

All the pictures are pretty self-explanatory.

Just make sure it fits, as it makes it durable whilst playing and it's important that they fit very snugly.

All I will need to do is fill in the hole with some green stuff and it's job done.

So there you have it nice and simple.

My New Warboss And Nob Bike's Conversions

With 40k 6th edition released there's no better time to start nob bikers, accompanied with a new war boss. So with that in mind I started converting more of these bad boys to add to my collection. So below you will see some of the most recent pictures I have taken of the project in hand.

it's always important to have a good boss pole.

from the back you can see all of his most recent trophies.

and no Ork warboss would be without his trusted companions, if there is such a thing should.

I'm really pleased the way they have turned out so far, especially with the boss Pole, as I have taken it of the trucks sprue, so I have finally got a purpose for it after all. also if you look a little bit closer I have model nails onto their boss Poles, which I will use as a rank structure, i.e. the more you have the higher up you are with in the gang.

below you can see that I still am midway converting a big shoota on this guy.

And there you have it short and sweet this time but I think the pictures speak for themselves, so if you have any suggestions or questions don't forget to ask them below.

So before you go can you guess what clan these guys are from?

My FORGE WORLD Dakkajet Part 1 How To Make It A Little Bit More Unique.

Well it's been awhile since I have updated my blog recently, as my hobby time has been spent elsewhere, but over the next couple of weeks, I will hopefully post a lot more regularly so this is what I find myself working on today.

And it's been a long time coming considering I got this model way back in 2003, so it has been gathering a lot of dust, but with the recent revival of flyers in 6th there's no better time to get this project up and running.

So with a little  work you can easily make your project look a little bit more unique.

I've used this technique before with some success as a makes it look like it's flying through the air.

It didn't quite look great that its wings stop so suddenly, so I modelled a little fin which in turn gives it a little bit more of a better look.

I also wanted to update its Gunz which in turn give it a little bit more of a Dakka look.

Using plastic card that looks like Sheetmetal makes it a little bit more individual, and it is always worthwhile having some at hand.

So there you have it, and with a little bit of conversion work, it makes all the difference and all being well I'm on the look on ebay to see if I can pick up another one.

So in part 2 I'm going to go into a little bit more detail about its flying stand.
