My Blood Axe 40k Ork Looted Wagons

I'm sure like many of us, we all have hobby projects that we don't get time to finish, and I'm no different. So it was about time tonight that I finally made a little bit more of an effort, to get these bad boys done, and on the table top. Although these were originally completed a few years ago it was time to update the models, to my blood axes with a World War II German feel and give them a little bit of an improvement. As overtime they had got a little bit broken, battered and bruised over the years. Plus I also wanted an opportunity of finally playing with some ordinance, as I haven't been getting the opportunity recently.

More pictures of my custom paint job for X-Wing.

So posts at the minute are coming thick and fast as I'm trying to catch up because I haven't posted, as much as I would have liked over recent months. So with that being said below is a couple more pictures of the progress that I have been making with my custom x-wing paint jobs. The majority of which have been very simple by applying a few different washes and highlighting, the base coat that was applied by the manufacturer. Although you might not necessarily notice straight-away, but whenever you pick them up and look up close, you definitely can tell the difference. And especially when you take them to tournaments, as it is great for other gamers to notice, and also pay some Cool compliments.

Just finished my first game of blood bowl 7's with my youngest son.

So you might as well start them young as hopefully this can be a game that we can play together for many years, and I must admit I really do like the rules set as the game itself can easily be completed in less than an hour. And considering that he is only 8 year old, he has managed to pick up the rules quite easily. So I'm going to make my own BB 7's pitch hopefully over the next couple of weeks.

Plus for the photo I got him to do a big  scary face. LOL

My X-Wing repainted Bounty Hunters Firespray-31's

As always I like doing something that's different and unique, and over last weekend I attended an X-Wing tournament. So with that in mind it was about time that I made my models look more individual on the day. From start to finish this only took about an hour, and it's time well spent. And with the models themselves already being prepainted to a very high standard it was as simple as a few highlights and washes which is job done.

It's time for a little update on my iPad, and to showcase my X-Wing 3-Asteroids.

So the title really does say it all, and if everything goes to plan this will be my first post using my new iPad, and hopefully it will give me an opportunity of showcasing my first asteroids that I've used for X-Wing. While using the cardboard ones you get with the basic game is okay for some people there is nothing better than seeing them in the flesh in 3-D.

So hopefully I will get them printed up very soon.

Some Ork Big Choppa Nob Conversions

It has been a little bit quiet over recent weeks on my blog, but it's probably been the busiest time in my hobby for some while, and below is one of the most recent  projects I have just finished, for a tournament I attended last weekend. I'm sure I can say this for everyone, we all have some projects that just seem to sit at the back of a shelf, gathering dust needing to be completed and this was no exception.  So let's get this job done.

(Update 1) Not the best picture in the world but I've started, on the first undercoat and Skin.

(Update 2) So I have already started to highlight, and I'm going to put on some inks to tone down the colours a little.

(Update 3) Nearly finished, Just a couple of bits and pieces to finish off and I'll be done.

(Update 4) And I have also managed to do a little bit of work on their backs.

(Update 5) Job done.

From start to finish, overall this project took about 3 hours while watching some TV, and looking back really enjoyable.

My New Orks Aegis Defence Line

I have a number of hobby projects currently on my hobby desk at the minute, and I know that I am late to the party in regards to defence lines, so make sure to check out all the pictures below to see what I have been working on. I didn't have a lot of time to spare and so it was a simple job to go into my bits box, and see what was available. I find this at times the best way to convert quickly, as you can easily get distracted not knowing when to stop.
